QBC Diagnostics Awarded GSA Contract

PORT MATILDA, Penn., April 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- QBC Diagnostics, a global manufacturer of hematology and infectious disease diagnostics equipment, announced today that the company has been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 66 Contract for Scientific Equipment and Services.

GSA's Scientific Equipment and Services Schedule 66 Contract provides federal agencies with scientific instruments for a wide variety of uses such as public safety, medical research, and laboratory diagnostics. Under contract number GS-07F-0306Y, QBC Diagnostics has been approved to sell to government agencies for all of their major product lines, including the QBC STAR Hematology Analyzer and the QBC ParaLens Advance Fluorescence Microscopy Attachment.

"QBC is highly committed to providing our customers with innovative tools such as our unique line of dry hematology analyzers and fluorescence microscopy products, and this contract further strengthens our past relationships with government agencies."

Currently, QBC has a number of its QBC STAR Hematology analyzers installed on over 250 U.S. Navy Vessels, including both surface and submarine forces. Working closely with the U.S. Department of State, QBC diagnostics also provides hematology solutions to more than 50 United States Embassies worldwide. The QBC ParaLens Advance can be found in a number of National Tuberculosis Programs around the globe, and is considered a leader in the field of fluorescence microscopy.

QBC Diagnostics is presently working on finalizing their contract price list with GSAAdvantage!®, which should be made available shortly. In the interim, QBC has asked that all inquiries pertaining to GSA pricing should be directed to their sales team f
