De multiples études ont montré que les écouvillons HydraFlock® et PurFlock Ultra® possèdent une capacité d'absorption supérieure et des propriétés d'élution plus rapide des échantillons. Cela permet d'obtenir une meilleure pureté et uniformité des échantillons sans nécessiter de traitement supplémentaire des fibres ni de multiples collectes d'échantillons.

Les écouvillons HydraFlock® et PurFlock Ultra® peuvent être achetés individuellement ou dans le cadre des systèmes de transport viral ou bactérien de Puritan. Les écouvillons floqués HydraFlock®, combinés avec les systèmes de transport bactérien dans du milieu Amies liquide de Puritan, sont conçus de manière unique afin de fournir une performance supérieure et une polyvalence lors de la collecte et du transport de bactéries ayant une grande importance clinique.

Les écouvillons floqués PurFlock Ultra® sont utilisés avec les milieux UTM UniTranz-RT™ de Puritan destinés à la collecte, à la conservation et au transport d'échantillons de virus, chlamydia, mycoplasme ou uréaplasme à température ambiante ou pour le stockage de longue durée à basse température. Les deux kits sont compatibles avec les équipements de laboratoire standards et automatisés.
