According to ACGME, the state of South Carolina has the twenty-fourth-largest number of residents with more than 1,200 residents and 200 fellows for the 2018-2019 academic year. The 64 specialty programs and 63 subspecialty programs rank South Carolina twenty-third-largest in the nation. Charleston area institutions such as McLeod Health, MUSC Health, Tidelands Health and Tenet Healthcare will be exhibiting at the career fair alongside other regional and national organizations representing more than 20 states.

Both the career fair and seminar are open to residents and fellows as well as practicing physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. The casual, family-friendly environment provides an opportunity for physicians and advanced practitioners to connect with recruiters and find the best fit for their first or next practice. Premium food and drinks, along with parking, are available at no charge. Pre-register for the event to receive a $25 Amazon.com e-gift card at the door.

Over 20 hiring organizations will take part in the event with local job opportunities as well as organizations specifically seeking physicians for regional and nationwide opportunities. Featured organizations include Charleston Area Medical Center, Floyd Medical Center, Greenville Health System, Harbin Clinic and Huntsville Hospital Health System. PracticeLink Live! @Charleston will take place at The Historic Rice Mill on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. The career fair begins at 5:00 pm and continues until 8:00 pm. The optional job-search seminar begins at 6:30 pm.
