He is an active member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has previously served on this organization's Executive Committee. He is currently the President Elect of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Biesman also serves on several editorial boards and is a member of The Oculoplastic Aesthetic Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Tennessee Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Medical Association.
