obstructive sleep apnea is weight gain. Other signs and symptoms of sleep apnea include2:

  • Frequent loud snoring
  • Pauses in breathing or gasping for breath
  • Obesity
  • Regularly falling asleep in situations, such as reading, watching TV or driving
  • High blood pressure
