Date:10/6/2009

EXTON, Pa., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Physiotherapy Associates, the nation's foremost provider of outpatient rehabilitation services, today announced that a free educational brochure on the benefits of physical therapy is available to celebrate October as "National Physical Therapy Month," as designated by the American Physical Therapy Association.

"'National Physical Therapy Month' offers Physiotherapy Associates' 1,500 clinicians a way to educate their patients, their referral sources, and their local communities on the tremendous benefits of physical therapy," said Dan Connors, Chief Executive Officer, Physiotherapy Associates. "We are fortunate enough to be in a profession which improves peoples' quality of life. Our team members continually update their skills to become trusted physical therapy partners for our patients, and this event provides an opportunity for our national team to highlight truly local successes for thousands of our patients."

The easy-to-read "Physical Therapy: Outpatient Rehabilitation" brochure highlights the health benefits of physical therapy, the partnership between patient and therapist, and a number of conditions that are treatable with physical therapy, including common ailments such as back and neck pain, sports injuries and other conditions from trauma, work or age.

Physiotherapy Associates' Executive Vice President of Operations and Initiatives, Pete Grabaskas, PT, stated, "This annual event allows our physical therapists the opportunity to build on the clinical excellence that patients have come to expect from Physiotherapy Associates. As a physical therapist for 25 years, I have witnessed that patients responded best to therapists who are local experts in rehabilitation services."

The free brochure is available on the Physiotherapy Associates website www.physiocorp.com. At the site, potential patients can also locate their local Physiotherapy Associates clinic to schedule an in-person physical therapy consultation during the month of October, and to learn more about how physical therapy can improve their daily lives.
