Phreesia and SOAPware Integrate to Improve Clinical Data and Streamline Workflow at Medical Practices
Date:10/18/2011

NEW YORK, Oct. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Phreesia, the patient check-in company, today announced that SOAPware, a leading developer of electronic health records (EHR) software and solutions, has been named a Phreesia Certified Integration Partner. Through this partnership, medical practices nationwide that use both SOAPware and Phreesia will be able to achieve a seamless patient check-in experience. The automated interface between the two systems electronically populates clinical and demographic data collected by Phreesia into the physician's note in SOAPware, eliminating the need for office staff to do so manually and freeing up more time for patient care.

"I've been using Phreesia for several months now, and I'm excited for this tight integration with SOAPware," says longtime SOAPware user Dr. Thomas Miller. "Together, Phreesia and SOAPware are giving us the ability to maximize staff time by eliminating the manual work involved in patient data collection and the transfer of information to our EMR. This integration allows us to spend even more time focused on our patients' needs, rather than on time-consuming administrative tasks."

Phreesia, which checks in millions of patients each year, increases cash flow and saves staff time for medical practices. The solution digitizes the check-in process by replacing the traditional patient clipboard and all paper forms with the wireless, touchscreen PhreesiaPad.  Phreesia collects and updates critical patient information, verifies insurance, and collects copayments and balances during check-in. Together with SOAPware's affordable, robust and easy-to-use EHR products, the two systems now offer a comprehensive solution to streamline practice workflow and smooth the flow of patient information, saving staff time and increasing cash flow.

"We are pleased to announce our partnership and integration with Phreesia. SOAPware users will now be able to incorporate the patient check-in service to help collect and update patient information, verify insurance and collect accurate patient payments. This partnership reflects our company's commitment to help maximize efficiencies and streamline workflow without detracting from the doctor-patient relationship," said Randall Oates, MD, President, SOAPware, Inc.

"This integration will be a great asset for practices, and SOAPware has been a wonderful partner for us," says Evan Roberts, chief technology officer and co-founder of Phreesia. "We are committed to providing our clients with the tools they need to run a successful practice. We designed Phreesia to be an open system that works in conjunction with all practice software. Now, through the partnership with SOAPware, practices nationwide will experience the ease of a fully integrated platform and will be able to run their practices more smoothly."
