Pharmacy Franchise Owners Association Taps David Mayper as Executive Director
Date:9/7/2010

ST. Mayper has worked with AmerisourceBergen, H.D. Smith and most recently worked with American Associated Pharmacies Inc. (AAP) where he served on the management team that oversaw the merger of AAP and United Drugs.

"David is a seasoned executive with years of successful experience in guiding pharmacies through the process of negotiating agreements, earning favorable terms, and maintaining their competitiveness," said Todd Pendergraft, president, PFOA board of directors. PFOA currently offers vendor agreements and other services to support its members. The organization plans to expand its range of services to help independent pharmacists succeed in the face of growing reimbursement pressures and competition from major chain pharmacies. In addition, the PFOA supports a class action lawsuit brought on behalf of individual Medicine Shoppe and Medicap franchisees against Cardinal Health, the franchisor of those brands.

"The lawsuit represents the interests of several hundred independent pharmacy owners against the dec
