Parkview Medical Center Selects MobileMD for Health Information Exchange Service
Date:7/13/2010

PUEBLO, Colo., July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Parkview Medical Center recently announced an agreement with MobileMD, Warminster, Pa., to provide state-of-the-art health information exchange (HIE) services to its physician and medical community.  Parkview Medical Center is a non-profit general acute healthcare and behavioral health specialty services institution with 2,300 employees and more than 300 physicians.

"We were tasked with finding an HIE vendor who had the capability and experience to provide timely and meaningful clinical data exchange throughout our physician community," notes Parkview Medical Center's Information Technology Director Paula Oreskovich. "MobileMD's 4D HIE™ offering will better connect and align Parkview with our physician community.

"Clinicians working with Parkview will now enjoy real-time access to patient information without the need for additional layers of technology," Oreskovich notes.  "Instead of focusing on technology issues, our physicians can continue to focus on delivering quality care as they leverage their existing technologies."

MobileMD's Chief Executive Officer Todd Fisher says, "Parkview Medical Center had many options for building their exchange between the hospital and their physicians and we are pleased they selected MobileMD based on our long-standing commitment to client service."

"MobileMD's 4D HIE™ will enable Parkview's physician community to better care for their patients through enhanced clinical information delivery and integration," he says. "Critical health information will now lead, rather than follow, patients as they experience the entire continuum of care from general practitioner to specialist to the hospital.  The result is lower costs, improved physician-patient relationships, and improved care quality."

At the heart of MobileMD's technology is the industry's only 4D HIE™ focusing on four aspects of progressive healthcare delivery – technology, service, economics, and patient care.  MobileMD 4D HIE™ provides secure clinical and administrative data exchange between all providers caring for patients within a community, regardless of their location, EMR technology or vendor.
