PTV Launches Broad Range of Services for the Global Biopharmaceutical Industry

OXFORD, England, February 19, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- PharmaTelevision Ltd announced today the launch of major new services to meet the growing demand for the production and dissemination of rich media content in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector. The company, a subsidiary of PharmaVentures, already provides the only online television channel dedicated to the bio-pharma industry, offering daily television news, analysis and feature interviews.

The new services include PharmaTelevision Production Services that provides unique and powerful ways for companies to communicate to industry stakeholders, as well as PharmaTelevision Conference Services, which aims to better disseminate important communications from the many business partnering, logistical, and scientific conferences within the industry. A third service, PharmaTelevision Technical Services, helps pharma and biotech companies to customise and integrate content into their existing infrastructure to drive value for their internal users.

Fintan Walton, CEO, PharmaTelevision, says, 'PharmaTelevision is now recognised as the authoritative rich media channel for our industry. We have achieved that through close cooperation between industry leaders and our team of professional television journalists and producers to deliver programming that is second to none. The launch of these new services is a natural progression for us. We can deliver not only the highest production values, but also qualified audiences through our own media platform, as well as through our syndication partners. And that is what our clients are looking for.'

Anne Vindenes Allen, Chief Operating Officer, PharmaTelevision Ltd, continues, 'Our industry is waking up to the impact of video. And PharmaTelevision is a show case of how video should work in the new multi-media, multi-tasking, multi-access environment. We have developed our technology platform very carefully to offer a user experience that effectively turns our video platform into an intelligence tool kit. Our pharma clients are content hungry but time poor, and the technology that we have developed, that includes rich text transcription, iPhone alerting, and in-video 'jump to chapter' features, has been very well received by some of the very largest companies in the sector.'

PharmaTelevision's new services are aimed at biopharma companies, as well as those offering conference and information services to the pharmaceutical sector. Ms Allen concludes, 'We have the pharma industry knowledge, the production expertise and the technology in place. Ultimately, this gives us confidence that we can fulfil the purpose of each and every video - delivering the right message, in the right way, to the right audience'.
