PRN Physician Recommended Nutriceuticals announces partnership with Dr. Eric Donnenfeld and expansion in the New York City metropolitan area
Date:9/19/2012

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa., Sept. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Following three years of rapid growth in the nutriceutical market, PRN Physician Recommended Nutriceuticals, announced the expansion of its North American footprint in the highly coveted New York metro area.  Galvanizing this expansion is the new partnership with and endorsement of Dr. Eric Donnenfeld, nationally renowned ophthalmologist, clinical professor of ophthalmology at NYU and key-opinion leader at New York's Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island (OCLI).

PRN account representatives have already been deployed to the New York Metro Area, supporting optometry and ophthalmology practices with nutritional products distributed through doctor recommendations. Recently acknowledged on the Inc. 500|5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies, PRN has grown over 300% in revenue in the past three years and has quickly penetrated the ophthalmology and optometry markets with its uniquely formulated omega-3 and macular vitamin products.

Dr. Eric Donnenfeld noted, "This is a pivotal time for PRN and for ophthalmic medical practice in general as we see the growing trend toward the use of high quality omega-3 products for macular health and the management of dry eye disease.  After many years exploring the various omega-3 options, I am excited to be partnering with PRN and endorsing a product portfolio that has proven superiority over store-bought brands.  There is now a tremendous opportunity to help doctors in the New York City area discern the difference between omega-3s and help our patients achieve therapeutic levels of EPA/DHA."

Consistent with PRN's ongoing focus on clinical evidence and support of product distribution through doctor recommendations, PRN has trained its account representatives to be experts in the use of condition-specific nutriceuticals for eye health.  Additionally, PRN account representatives will provide ophthalmology practices with a valuable partnership exemplified through the formulation of its products, resources to practices, and innovative operational model for doctors.
