PRA International Hosts a Late Phase Services Webinar Establishing Value for Diagnostics & Biomarkers in a Real-Life Setting
Date:2/17/2010

RALEIGH, N.C., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- PRA International, a leading Clinical Research Organization, will host a webinar on establishing value for diagnostics and biomarkers in a real-life setting on 23 February 2010 at 11:30 a.m. (EST). Two of PRA's Late Phase Services experts — Senior Scientific Affairs Director Jerome Wilson, MA, Ph.D., and Scientific Affairs Director Kathleen Kushner, MPH, RN — will be the presenters.

Dr. Wilson and Ms. Kushner will discuss how biomarkers and diagnostics can enable the medical community to more accurately diagnose and treat human conditions while containing medical costs. The webinar will also review the forthcoming evidence-driven environment and its demand for more clinical applications for diagnostic biomarker testing, personalized medicine and the challenges unique to the operational execution of biomarker and diagnostic research.

PRA's Late Phase Services unit (LPS) provides comprehensive planning and services for all varieties of interventional and non-interventional post-marketing studies on a global scale.  PRA's staff of experts posses an in-depth, current understanding of evolving regional and local non-interventional requirements. Since 2007, PRA has worked on more than 160 late phase studies with up to 17,850 sites and 187,087 patients across 42 countries.

As PRA's Lead Epidemiologist, Dr. Wilson provides consulting services and develops post-marketing strategies for marketed products. Ms. Kushner has managed several post-marketing safety surveillance programs and has focused her professional research career almost exclusively on the area of late phase development.
