On 4 November, PRA's Christian Tucat, Senior Vice President of Business Development, Europe participates in a session entitled Emerging markets: Where next? In this session, Edward C. Ian, Senior Director of Clinical Operations, Asia-Pacific will share his expertise in conducting studies in emerging regions. Mr. Ian will also discuss the industry's move to emerging regions. The main focus of his presentation will be on the evolved Asia region; however, he will provide an overview of other emerging markets (i.e., Latin America, Africa and the Middle East). Drawing on his current experiences, he will discuss the regional benefits and challenges and offer practical advice on taking a systematic approach to country selection and site identification.
At PRA, Mr. Ian heads clinical operations for India, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, and Taiwan as well as PRA's International Partner Program. Mr. Ian has more than 14 years experience in clinical research.
As the head of European sales for PRA, Mr. Tucat's main responsibility is to serve PRA's clients in Europe ensuring customer satisfaction and building long-term partnerships with both existing and new clients. Mr. Tucat has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 11 years.
