Date:1/30/2013

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., Jan. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- PM Pediatrics, an award-winning provider of after-hours pediatric urgent care, announced it will expand its footprint into Brooklyn, NY with a new location slated to open in Summer 2013. The 6,055 square foot practice will be located at 240 Atlantic Ave. in the Cobble Hill section of Brooklyn. This upcoming opening will mark the seventh PM Pediatrics site and its second practice in New York City, joining PM Pediatrics of Bayside.

PM Pediatrics has locations on Long Island (Syosset and Selden), in Westchester (Mamaroneck), Queens (Bayside), Livingston, NJ and a third Long Island location set to open Spring 2013 in North Babylon. All locations provide walk-in urgent care, 365 days a year for newborns through college. They are open weekdays from 5pm - midnight (4pm - 11pm in NJ) and weekends and holidays from noon - midnight (11am - 11pm in NJ).

"We look forward to opening our doors to the families in and around Downtown Brooklyn, one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in New York," said Dr. Jeffrey Schor , founder of PM Pediatrics. "On the heels of our North Babylon announcement, and recent opening in Livingston, NJ, it's an exciting time in our Company's growth. We believe children and young adults everywhere deserve specialized urgent care when they need it, without having to wait long for it."

Every PM Pediatrics practice is staffed by Pediatric Emergency Specialists who provide specialized care and treatment for a broad array of illnesses and injuries including asthma, fever and other infections, dehydration, sprains and fractures, wounds requiring stitches and much more. This model of care, comfort and convenience has been enthusiastically received by patients who have visited a location over 335,000 times since the first site opened in Syosset. Each office has on-site digital x-ray producing high resolution images that are easily sent to a patient's primary care physician via CD-ROM or electronically. Each location also features a comprehensive laboratory which is capable of performing rapid blood, urine and chemistry workups. PM Pediatrics takes special care to send each patient's medical record to their primary care provider the day of their visit, ensuring timely follow-up and continuity of care. Each practice also has access to specialists such as plastic surgeons or orthopedists, as needed.

The distinctly designed practices, which showcase jungle, seaside, Medieval Times, and Main Street USA themes and have TVs in every room, create a warm and welcoming environment for patients and their families. All PM Pediatrics offices are conveniently located and uniquely themed, providing caregivers and children with a healthcare experience that is unlike any other.
