PLZ Aeroscience Acquires Assured Packaging

ST. CLAIR, Mo., May 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PLZ Aeroscience is pleased to announce the acquisition of Assured Packaging, located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.  Assured is Canada's leading custom manufacturer of aerosols for the health and beauty aids, pharmaceutical, food and household market categories.  With the Assured Packaging acquisition and the purchase of K-G Spray-Pak in 2011, PLZ Aeroscience is now the largest and most diversified custom aerosol filler in Canada.

"This is a particularly strategic acquisition by PLZ Aeroscience, as it provides the opportunity to apply the same excellent standards of research, and high quality and responsive service to the Personal Care and OTC markets as they have done in the specialty aerosol market," stated Rob Theroux, PLZ Aeroscience Canadian Division Manager.

The acquisition was made possible by the continued support of Olympus Partners, a Stamford, Connecticut-based private equity firm focused on providing equity capital for middle market management buyouts and for companies needing capital for expansion. Olympus, which manages over $3 billion in capital, is an active, long-term investor across a broad range of industries, including healthcare services, financial services, consumer products and business services.
