the U.K. Department of Health for more than 15 years. Dr. Kiri received an
MSc degree in Operational Research from the University of Sussex and a
Ph.D. from the University of Bradford, both located in the U.K. Dr. Kiri
has been appointed as Adjunct Professor of Biostatistical Epidemiology at
the University of Limerick in Ireland. His other academic appointments have
included serving as a lecturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical
Medicine and at the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Surrey,
in the U.K. Dr. Kiri has been elected as a Chartered Statistician by the
U.K. Royal Statistical Society.

pharmacoepidemiology as the study of the utilization and effect of drugs in
