Optimal Radiology Unveils New Brand
Date:8/8/2012

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Aug. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Optimal IMX, a leading provider of comprehensive radiology solutions to hospitals, today announced the unification of the company's solutions and services under the Optimal Radiology brand.

"As we continue to enhance the services we offer hospitals and healthcare providers around the country, we believe aligning our solutions under a single, clearly recognizable brand will be key to long-term success," said Optimal Radiology President and Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Grimes. "Our deep knowledge of the challenges facing hospitals and experience transforming radiology departments provides us with a strong platform for continued growth."

Leveraging its nationally recognized quality program, industry-leading systems and processes, and nationwide network of board-certified radiologists, Optimal Radiology implements custom radiology staffing and management solutions for hospitals around the country. In addition to providing on-site physician coverage, management and business development support, Optimal offers hospitals 24/7 access to highly specialized radiologists through its teleradiology network.

As part of its rebranding effort, the company also launched a new website, www.optimalradiology.com, which features comprehensive information about Optimal's solutions and success serving a range of hospitals. With new resources, case studies and client and physician testimonials, the site provides concrete examples of how Optimal Radiology has helped hospitals ranging from small community hospitals to large, investor owned and not-for-profit facilities improve the quality and efficiency of their radiology departments.

"Time and again, we see that the health of a hospital's radiology department is directly tied to the quality of its outcomes, the satisfaction of its patients and physicians, and the overall efficiency of its operations," said Dr. Neal Templeton, Optimal's Chief Medical Officer. "Our solutions have helped dozens of hospitals make measurable improvements in each of these areas, creating a powerful ripple effect felt throughout the hospital."

The rebranding follows several key leadership appointments. Mr. Grimes joined the company in May, bringing more than 30 years of healthcare services experience specializing in hospital-based physician management. Most recently, he served on the executive management team of TeamHealth Holdings, Inc., where he held a variety of executive roles during his 11 year tenure.

Additionally, healthcare veteran Alan Taylor was recently appointed Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Taylor previously oversaw operations and client services for TeamHealth's Radiology Division. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President for Alliance Imaging and spent many years in senior leadership roles in a multispecialty physician group practice setting.
