Omron Healthcare Announces New Pedometers
Date:7/2/2012

LAKE FOREST, Ill., July 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- With summer in full effect, people are participating in outdoor activities to reach their fitness goals. Research shows that using a pedometer can increase physical activity and can be a great motivational tool to help people reach the recommended 10,000 steps a day. Today Omron Healthcare, Inc., a leader in health & wellness products, announced the release of two new pedometers, the Omron HJ-320 and HJ-321. Both pedometers feature Tri-Accelerometer (Tri-Axis) technology which accurately measures steps whether positioned flat, vertically or horizontally and can be worn on the hip, in a pocket or even thrown in a purse or bag.

"Walking 10,000 steps has shown to improve health and reduce stress and it really doesn't require a huge time commitment – all it takes is adding a few extra steps throughout your day," said Bob Greene, Oprah Winfrey's personal trainer. "It's very helpful to have a simple tool to keep you accountable as you work towards your fitness goals and that's why I recommend using Omron's latest pedometers to make every step count," added Greene, author of "20 Years Younger: Look Younger, Feel Younger, Be Younger."

The HJ-320 is a simple motivational tool to measure daily steps taken. The easy-to-use pedometer offers two tracking modes including steps and distance. It also features an automatic reset, so walkers can begin each day with a clean slate, making it easy to track steps more accurately.

The HJ-321 is specifically designed for power walking and makes it easier for users to make every step count. The four tracking modes allow users to track basic steps, aerobic or "brisk" steps, calories and distance. The information can be stored up to seven days and resets to zero at midnight so you are ready to go every mornin
