Now Faster & Easier — Millennium Pharmacy Systems Announces New Release of MPSRx®
Date:7/12/2011

CHICAGO, July 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Millennium Pharmacy Systems, the leader in innovation of medication management solutions for skilled nursing and assisted living care settings, has announced a new release of its electronic medication and treatment software, MPSRx®. With improved speed and usability as a motive, this release focuses primarily on the Pharmacy Window module (electronic medication order entry). Enhancements to the system were the result of extensive feedback from physician and nurse user groups on how to improve the leading software's interface with pharmacy ordering.

"Providing an intuitive technology solution to support error-free entry of orders is important. Traditional ordering processes require multiple points of transcription leaving unnecessary room for errors. We want to empower practitioners with the tools to submit medication orders easily, without sacrificing safety," said Lena Sturgeon, RN, Millennium Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Products and Solutions Development.

This is the sixth release of the popular "eMAR/eTAR" application in just eight years of providing its innovative model to the post-acute care community. Designed to bring efficiency and accuracy of acute care medication management to long-term care, Millennium continues to develop and improve its technology and pharmacy operations to deliver safe, effective solutions to its skilled nursing and assisted living customers.

Millennium Customers will begin to receive updates in the coming months.
