Nonin Medical Awarded Novation Contract for Clinically Proven Pulse Oximeters

MINNEAPOLIS, May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Nonin Medical, Inc., the inventor of fingertip pulse oximetry and a leader in noninvasive medical monitoring, announced today that Novation has awarded a 36-month contract to Nonin for its pulse oximeters and sensors. Novation is the largest health care supply contracting company in the United States.

Under the agreement, the more than 65,000 member and affiliate organizations served by Novation will be able to purchase--at discounted prices--Nonin's Onyx® Vantage 9590 professional fingertip pulse oximeter, PalmSAT® 2500 handheld pulse oximeter, and Wrist-Ox2™ 3150 wrist-worn pulse oximeter and sensors.

With more than 1.5 million oximeters sold, Nonin's PureSAT® pulse oximetry technology is trusted with clinically proven accuracy to help clinicians make patient care decisions even in challenging conditions like motion and dark skin pigmentation. Nonin oximeters are made in the United States, and customer and technical service is available at the company's global headquarters in Plymouth, Minn.
