Nominations Open for San Francisco Business Times Health Care Heroes Awards
Date:5/1/2012

SAN FRANCISCO, May 1, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The San Francisco Business Times is accepting nominations for its annual Health Care Heroes Awards until May 18. The awards honor health care professionals who go above and beyond to make the Bay Area healthier by delivering quality care, advocating for patients, developing new and innovative technology or educating the community about health issues.

Awards will be given in 15 categories, including one to a nurse, physician and technology leader who has created devices or technology that improve patient and care. The awards will also honor a local professional for his or her lifetime achievement. (For other categories, see the full list below.) Your Health Care Hero can be any of the following:

  • Individuals
  • Businesses
  • Agencies
  • Organizations
  • Coalitions

Nominate your Health Care Hero from any of the five Bay Area Counties: San Francisco, Marin, Contra Costa, San Mateo and Alameda using the San Francisco Business Times nomination form, which can be filled out online by going to http://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/nomination/23661.

The judges will base their choices solely on the nomination forms you submit. Make sure your nomination form includes many details and a history of achievements to show why your nominee deserves the award. The more robust the nomination form, the better chance your hero has of being named a Health Care Hero winner.

Winners will be announced at an awards breakfast on Wednesday, July 25 at:
San Francisco Marriott Marquis
55 Fourth St.
San Francisco, California 94103

Submit your nomination today by filling out the submission form at
