Date:1/23/2012

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y., Jan. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Niagara Thermal Products LLC is pleased to announce the acquisition of J. Kittredge & Sons, Inc. "The addition of Kittredge's industry recognized dip brazing, welding, machining and fabricating capabilities for complex thermal and mechanical electronics components and assemblies enables Niagara Thermal to offer its aerospace, defense and electronics customers an unprecedented array of cost effective, platform-wide solutions," said Barry Heckman, President and CEO of Niagara. "Equally important, by adding the thermal and mechanical design, fin manufacturing and vacuum brazing capabilities as well as financial resources of Niagara Thermal, the acquisition will enable Kittredge to provide both current and future customers with effective and highly cost competitive solutions for an even broader range of high performance thermal and mechanical needs. We believe the synergies offered by the combination of these two highly regarded businesses will fill a competitive market void created by recent consolidations in the brazed chassis and electronics housing space."

Going forward, the acquired business will operate as J. Kittredge, a division of Niagara Thermal Products LLC. The Kittredge offices and manufacturing facility will remain in their current Hudson, Massachusetts location with future investments planned to improve and increase capabilities. Garret Peters will continue as General Manager of Kittredge and Michael Cronin will continue as Manager of Sales and Application Engineering. Both individuals will report to Scott Mowry, V.P. of Operations for Niagara Thermal. "While day-to-day operations will continue to be conducted by the same outstanding teams our customers know and depend upon, we will now have at our disposal the resources, experience, and expertise of both organizations," said Mr. Heckman.

"When you factor in the technical capabilities and global reach of our electronics cooling products subsidiary, Thermshield LLC, and our network of Asian manufacturing partners, the acquisition of Kittredge further enhances Niagara Thermal's ability to provide complete and optimized thermal solutions to organizations across the globe," adds Mark Parisi, Director of New Product Development at Niagara Thermal. "Whether our customer needs a simple heat sink, a complex cold plate or a complete thermal management system, the combination of engineering expertise, manufacturing capabilities and product portfolios achieved through this latest acquisition positions us to meet their needs and offer unparalleled value in the market."
