New Web Technology Now Allows for Pharmaceutical Reps to Receive Training on Their Desktops, Tablets, and Smartphones
Date:11/10/2011

MOUNT OLIVE, N.J., Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Pinsonault Associates now offers a new option for delivering their Managed Care e-learning training modules. In the new era of "everything mobile", this cutting edge approach of how training content is delivered to pharmaceutical and biotech professionals has come at the perfect time. Now, a sales rep can begin training using an iPad in a cafe before a sales call, reference an executive summary version on that same training module using a smartphone while walking into the doctor's office, and complete the training on a desktop PC at home later that evening.

The advanced technology used to create the program template employs the latest "web standards", thus enabling it to run on a variety of systems, ranging from Internet Explorer 6 to the newest platforms, like Safari on the iPad. "We feel that the advanced technology within our training courses now matches the advanced information and data that we like to put forth in our training curriculum; it's a perfect marriage of content and technology," said Managing Partner, Christian Pinsonault.

Pinsonault's new template integrates very well with LMS [learning management system] environments that support mobile learning. Another great feature of the new template is that the UI [user interface] and information flexes between desktops, tablets, and smartphones. For example, when users launch the new courses on an iPad, they will see that the main navigation shifts accordingly when the viewing mode changes between portrait and landscape. Or, if users view the program on a smartphone, they get an executive summary version of the course, which allows for a more efficient and intuitive navigation on a smaller device. "I am convinced that this is the best method for e-learning on multiple devices for the pharmaceutical industry," said Dominic LaRosa, Creative Director at Pinsonault Associates. The design team, development team, and I are thrilled with the results. We feel this new wave of "cross platform e-learning", desktop to tablet to smartphone, will not only make training much more efficient for sales reps in the field, but the new modules will also give them a competitive advantage because they will always have the training data right at their disposal."

From content development and data management to Web-based applications, Pinsonault Associates is a multi-faceted business solution provider possessing the knowledge and expertise to provide pharmaceutical and biotech companies with leadership in health care communications and sales training initiatives. Pinsonault's mission requires a commitment to quality, excellence, and integrity in all of their service offerings.
