New Technology Center Increases B. Braun's Infusion Pump Capacity

BETHLEHEM, Pa., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- B. Braun Medical Inc. announces the construction of a new infusion technology facility at the company's global headquarters in Melsungen, Germany.

Known as Avitum Village, the new, five-building, 77 million euro B. Braun manufacturing campus includes a plant dedicated to producing infusion pumps as well as facilities for research and development, services and training. With an initial capacity of an estimated more than 207,000 pumps per year, the new facility is designed to meet an expanding world-wide demand for B. Braun's SPACE Infusion Systems.

"This is a unique business campus that is completely devoted to the development, manufacture and support of infusion devices," said Gale White, Vice President of Infusion Systems Marketing for B. Braun Medical Inc. "It will enable us to meet the increasing demand for high-quality syringe and large volume infusion pumps today and well into the future."
