New Management Changes Poise USANA for Further Growth

SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NYSE: USNA), a global nutritional supplements company, today announced that it has hired Doug Braun as its new vice president of marketing. The company has also appointed Dan Macuga, USANA's former vice president of marketing, public relations and social media, to chief communications officer.

Doug Braun brings to USANA more than 20 years of direct selling experience. Braun was most recently the president of Nikken International, Inc., a direct seller of wellness home technologies, where he provided strategic guidance to thousands of Independent Consultants and was responsible for business development, global sales and marketing.

Prior to Nikken, he worked at Herbalife as the Senior Vice President of Marketing. There, he successfully set and executed worldwide strategies for distributor communications, relationship marketing, and promotional collateral. Additionally, Braun assisted in launching numerous innovative products and new lines of business on four continents and has significant experience working with the Direct Sales Association.

Braun, who starts his new position at USANA's corporate office effective immediately, will fill Macuga's previous position.

Prior to his new role as Chief Communications Officer, Macuga spent 15 successful years with the Chrysler Corporation before coming to USANA in 2007.  Since then, he has built an award-winning PR and social media department from the ground up, expanded USANA's global marketing reach and helped the company achieve record growth in sales.
