Date:12/30/2013

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Dec. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical technology management firm MEMdata, is proud to announce the completion of another successful hospital project.  Spring Central Hospital (SCH) opened October 28, and features 12 beds, six operating rooms, two treatment rooms and a two-bed emergency room.  Located in Spring, Texas, SCH serves North Harris and Montgomery counties, and the Greater Houston area.

MEMdata was engaged from the beginning of the project, and helped SCH achieve their vision of a facility ready to serve the needs of current patients, while allowing for future growth.  The plan is to grow to at least 25 beds in five years, and Chief Administrative Officer Harold Taylor said the building has room to nearly double after that.

"It's a huge challenge," said Taylor.  "And it's a wonderful feeling to start something up, work on it, develop it, and then see it come to fruition and see good things happening.  That's a very rewarding thing.  We were very pleased with MEMdata's contribution to the project.  They helped us manage changes to our equipment portfolio, and provided excellent reporting and documentation."

MEMdata CEO, Bob Yancy commented that SCH is another example of the evolution of healthcare facilities.  "Many physician groups have taken the concept of the multi-specialty practice to the next level," said Yancy.  "Physician-owned surgical hospitals have earned a reputation for delivering high quality care and high patient satisfaction scores.  We are pleased to have helped SCH realize their vision."
