SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- General Dynamics Viz, a part of General Dynamics C4 Systems, introduces CoMotion(R) Trials, a collaborative, decision-support software tool that enables hundreds of researchers, analysts and managers to see, analyze, share and comment on data and information produced throughout the clinical trials process. The software, which runs on a commercial off-the-shelf computer, integrates data from many separate systems, portraying it in easily configurable charts and visualizations.
Required by the U.S. government, clinical trials comprise rigorous research, testing and analysis of the safety and effectiveness of new pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. A clinical trial can last several years and involve measurement and analysis of information from thousands of patients in hospitals, clinics or other medical facilities located worldwide. As more trials adopt computer-based systems to capture electronic data, the volume and complexity of information increases.
