TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Neutronic Ear, the leader in Personal Sound Amplification Products (PSAP) today announced the release of the Neutronic Soundwave™; the world's first, fully rechargeable-powered hearing assistive device. This latest advancement in hearing technology translates to users no longer buying small, hard to handle expensive hearing aid batteries.

The new Soundwave™ has been engineered from the ground up and features even more advanced micro-technology to assist with hearing amplification. The unit's small size & light weight enhance comfort and comes equipped with three pre-programmed settings to maximize user comfort. "The Soundwave™ is the first personal amplifier that has been designed and manufactured to operate on a re-chargeable power system," states Joe Glennon , Director of Operations at Neutronic Ear.

The key advancement of the Soundwave™ is the re-chargeable and inter-changeable battery 'power tip'. These long-life, rechargeable power sources were designed as an integral part of the casing and feature a simple to handle shape that mature users will appreciate. A unique "click" feature assures a positive connection and the re-chargeable batteries contained within the tips are expected to provide up to 28 hours of service before being plugged in to their re-charging station. "The Soundwave™ ships with two 'Power Tips' to ensure extended use – you can recharge one power tip while using the other; users will experience significant savings with this unit as they'll never have to buy hearing aid batteries," adds Mr. Glennon.

The Neutronic Ear Soundwave™ will be marketed direct-to-the-consumer via the firm's interactive website. In addition to secure online shopping, the Neutronic Ear website features important educational and hearing health pages designed to engage users. The site also includes information on all Neutronic Ear products including the original Neutronic Ear, the Neutrio and the Elite. Registered users are also able to access special member pricing on consumables and accessories.
