Neurocrine Mourns the Passing of Founder and Board Member Wylie Vale, Ph.D.

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: NBIX) is sad to announce that its academic founder and member of the Board of Directors, Wylie W. Vale, Ph.D. passed away earlier this week.  He was a thoughtful leader with an incredible scientific mind who will be sorely missed.  "Wylie's intellect was matched by his terrific wit and disarming good nature.  He was a good friend," said Kevin Gorman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Neurocrine.  The entire Neurocrine team mourns his passing and extends its sympathies to the Vale family.
