Neuro Kinetics Named 'Manufacturer of the Year'
Date:12/16/2010

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Neuro Kinetics, Inc. (NKI) (www.neuro-kinetics.com), manufacturers of noninvasive medical diagnostic equipment used worldwide to test for vestibular and neurological conditions, was named the 2010 "Manufacturer of the Year (Small Business Category)" by the Pittsburgh Business Times, the company said today.

The regional business publication awarded the honor at a ceremony held in Pittsburgh earlier this month. Watch a video profile of NKI from the event here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3GBs_wFy70

Noted the Business Times; "An infusion of new leadership with a sharp vision transformed Neuro Kinetics Inc. from a nearly bankrupt company in 2002 to an innovative manufacturer whose medical equipment helps detect vestibular and neurological disorders."

Added Howison Schroeder, NKI president and CEO; "We are honored to have been named Manufacturer of the Year. It's no secret that the difficult economy in recent years has been a challenge for manufacturers. The hometown honor is testimony to how well we have weathered the storm. We are poised for takeoff."

Long known for enabling audiologists, neurologists and others to test for an array of balance and equilibrium issues, NKI has embarked on a strategy to expand the clinical utility of its diagnostic devices. The company is currently engaged in research with the U.S. military and others to gauge the effectiveness of its equipment in diagnosing brain injuries suffered in combat and sports. The company is also researching how its equipment can be utilized for early diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy and other conditions.
