Mirixa Corporation Announces MirixaEdge(SM)

NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- NCPA 111th Annual Convention -- Mirixa Corporation, the leader in targeted pharmacy-based patient care services, has announced the launch of MirixaEdge(SM). Previewed to independent pharmacists at the National Community Pharmacists Association's annual convention, MirixaEdge enables pharmacists to design their own patient care programs for any of their patients regardless of health plan, employer, or age.

MirixaEdge capitalizes on the nation's leading web-based clinical platform, MirixaPro(SM), which is available to over 40,000 contracted pharmacies nationwide to identify patient health care issues, highlight potential medication-related interactions, and encourage standardized care by pharmacists. MirixaEdge helps jumpstart the process of personalized program creation by providing pharmacists with pre-defined templates for conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and cardiovascular disease. Pharmacists can also take advantage of a template for medication therapy management. Additional MirixaEdge templates are planned.

MirixaEdge provides pharmacies with a standardized platform on which to establish their unique pharmacy patient care programs, capture outcomes measurements, and use that information to educate patients about their health issues.

A select group of MirixaPro participating pharmacies have participated in beta testing of MirixaEdge. One member of the pilot group, Justin Wilson, PharmD., of Valu-Med Pharmacy in Midwest City, OK, anticipates that using MirixaEdge will enhance custo
