Mimi Boublik Elected as Board President at Jericho Project, Nonprofit Ending Homelessness
Date:7/23/2019

Miriam “Mimi” Boublik has been elected President of the Board of Directors at Jericho Project, a nationally-acclaimed nonprofit ending homelessness at its roots in New York City.

Boublik has been a member of the Jericho Board since 1990 when as a graduate of Columbia Business School, she founded the Jericho Associate Board (now the Young Professionals Council) to engage New Yorkers like herself in volunteerism to address the indignity of homelessness in this great city.

Starting with successful grassroots fundraisers, Boublik went on to contribute her talents and passion to a variety of Jericho Board initiatives. Leveraging her extensive professional experience in management and strategic consulting, Boublik has been involved in the direction and management of two strategic plans in the last 13 years supported by McKinsey & Company to envision and implement transformational growth at Jericho.

Boublik chaired Jericho’s largest gala fundraiser, and has served on the Public Relations, Development and Strategic Planning Committees. In 2018, she received the Jericho Project Legacy Award in recognition of her deep commitment to and development of the organization over the years.

Mark Kopinski, the outgoing Board President of six years who will continue to serve on the Board, said, “There are few individuals who have contributed as much professional skill, wisdom and heart to this organization as Mimi Boublik. She will bring tremendous leadership to its next phase of growth.”

“Jericho Project is honored to have had leaders as generous with their time and talent as we have had with Mark Kopinksi and now with Mimi Boublik. We thank Mark Kopinski for his invaluable contributions to Jericho’s growth. Now we are looking forward to Mimi’s creative energy in supporting our ambitious vision, and the strategic guidance to ensure that we reach our goals,” said Tori Lyon, Jericho Project CEO.

Jericho Project ends homelessness at its roots by creating a community that inspires individual change, fosters sustainable independence and motivates men and women to reach their greatest potential. Today Jericho serves 2,500 adults and children, including groundbreaking initiatives targeted to the needs of veterans and young, largely LGBTQ, adults.

Currently serving individuals and families in nine supportive housing residences, Jericho’s results-based programs touch the cornerstones of its residents’ lives – housing, employment, wellness and family stability.

As a senior managing director at KRC Research & Consulting, a division of Robinson Lerer Sawyer Miller (RLSM), Boublik directed both quantitative and qualitative research and provided strategic consulting for clients across industry. Her work informed clients in corporate positioning, business strategy development, product development and advertising and PR.

Prior to that role, she worked at RLSM in corporate repositioning, internal and external communications and crisis management, and earlier at Deloitte & Touche in management consulting.

In addition to her MBA from Columbia Business School, Boublik received her BA from Cornell University. She lives with her husband and three children in New York City.
