TORONTO, March 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Millennium Research Group (MRG), the global authority on medical technology market intelligence, recently sponsored a case competition at Western University in Ontario, giving students a first-hand look at the real business of medical device markets. This is the second year MRG has run this competition.
Each student group was challenged to perform a full market and company analysis in competition with the other teams. To succeed, they had to present an account of the market landscape, assess a specific company and provide a set of strategic recommendations. The case was set up to give students a clear idea of the types of research MRG does and the insights it provides its clients.
A total of 12 teams competed. The top three teams made a presentation to representatives from MRG. The winning team consisted of Elvis Y H Chen, Patti Wang , Nanxi Li and Jonathan Li , and received a prize of $1,500 and an informational interview at MRG.
Two other finalist teams won prizes of $500. They were:
Second place: Fraser Gray-Smith , Sumiya Abdul Mannan , Meagan Kehl and Alessia Toritto
Third place: Supreet Randhawa , Alicia Allen , Kevin Yaraskavitch and Michelle Amri
