Michael Epstein joins MedSpan Research as Director, Research Services
Date:11/1/2012

SOUTH BARRINGTON, Ill., Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- MedSpan Research is pleased to announce its recent hire of Michael Epstein, who joins the company as Director, Research Services.  Mr. Epstein has taken a leadership role at MedSpan Research, managing execution of the company's research and consulting services.  Mr. Epstein has opened MedSpan Research's second office, which is in Rochester, NY.

"I was attracted to MedSpan Research's reputation, immediate access to key decision-makers, and growing client base.  Most of all, though, I was attracted by MedSpan Research's tight foci on third-party payers and healthcare technologies used in the hospital setting and alternative sites of care.  Manufacturers deserve mile-deep expertise from consultants.  That's exactly what MedSpan has on offer and I'm excited to become a part it."

Mr. Epstein comes to MedSpan Research with 13 years of experience in the healthcare arena.  Most recently, Mr. Epstein was Director of Commercial Strategy and Reimbursement at United BioSource Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Express Scripts.  At UBC Mr. Epstein led strategic engagements across the globe on behalf of many life sciences manufacturers.  Previously, Mr. Epstein also led primary market research engagements in the life sciences at Roger Green + Associates, TVG Marketing Research and Consulting, and Harris Interactive, and he evaluated behavioral health interventions at University of Rochester's Children's Institute.

Robert Kaminsky, founder and President of MedSpan Research, said, "I worked with Mike for four years before he joined MedSpan Research.  I've been impressed with his inquisitive mind and keen insight.  He is an expert in the markets MedSpan Research focuses on for our clients: managed care, hospitals and alternate sites of care.  Through thoughtful application of his expertise, Mike adds value to his client's marketing
