Medtech College Honors Medical Lab Techs' Investigative Role In Real Life Healthcare Dramas

Responsible for performing laboratory tests efficiently and accurately for high quality patient care, medical laboratory technicians (MLTs) are the "CSIs" of healthcare. They're on the front lines of the battle against genetic abnormalities, parasites, malignancies and bacteria, helping to analyze slides and specimens of human blood, tissue and other cells.

Medical laboratory technicians search for basic clues to the absence, presence, extent and causes of disease so we all can live fuller, healthier lives. It's a rewarding career worthy of recognition.

A preeminent national healthcare education and continuing professional development provider, Medtech College is leading the celebration of these highly trained professionals during National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week, April 22-26.

Medtech College campuses are collaborating to recognize the significant contributions of medical laboratory professionals everywhere, and to honor each campus' medical lab technician students and staff for their commitment to excelling in this critical healthcare arena. Medical Laboratory Professionals Week gubernatorial or mayoral proclamations will be presented to MLT students during special campus events and Medtech College MLT graduates will return to talk with current students about their on-the-job experiences.
