Medical Marijuana Company Celebrates 3rd Anniversary with "Weed" hosted by Dr. Sanja Gupta on CNN
Date:8/13/2013

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- "It couldn't have been a better anniversary present," said Albert Coles, Jr., founder and lead researcher at CBD Science, LLC. "Right there on CNN, Sanja Gupta told the story about a child whose family I helped get the right cannabinal formula that stopped the shakes (epileptic seizers)."

Coles, who has a background in investment finance, said, "It's not the big money I thought it was going to be, but I keep developing formulas because it helps people big-time." He continued, "That's the real paycheck. Gupta's bomb shell ("Weed" aired 8/11/13 on CNN) last night woke up thousands of doctors and patients that medical cannabis is for real."

Founded in 2010, CBD Science, LLC in Stinson Beach, California is a consultancy and developer of formulas for Cannabis Based Medical Extracts (CBMEs) for licensed dispensaries and patient cooperatives in California. The most popular is the Alta California Botanicals™ brand sold in three formulations at licensed retailers: "Healing Tincture" with high CBD and low THC, "Tranquility Tincture" with 1:1 ratio of CBD to THC, and "Euphoria Tincture" with low CBD and high THC.

"Next year will be a tipping point," Coles said, "Twenty states and the District of Columbia have now voted to approve marijuana for medical applications.  Sativex® by GW Pharmaceuticals will soon be approved by the FDA as a prescription drug. That will convince the medical community to how remarkably well cannabinoids can be used to treat systemic diseases and neurological disorders."

"We are in this for the long haul," Coles said. "CBD Science is committed to the latest scientific data and testing while operating strictly within the laws of California. We have more new formulas in the pipeline. The future looks brighter today then ever before."
