Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry Names Envoy Medical a Company to Watch

SAINT PAUL, Minn., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Envoy Medical Corporation has been named by Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry as one of the "50 Companies to Watch" in the medical device industry.

Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry ("MD+DI"), a monthly magazine dedicated to the medical device and diagnostic industries, chose the 50 companies based on their recent success and the "potential to revolutionize care practices." Out of a pile of nominations from readers, industry observers, and the magazine's internal sources, Envoy Medical was one of just a few companies to make the list for 2010.

MD+DI noted that Envoy Medical's FDA approved prosthetic hearing restoration device, the Esteem®, was a reason to watch the company. On March 17, 2010, the FDA approved Envoy Medical's PMA application for the Esteem® – the world's first totally implanted prosthetic hearing restoration device to alleviate moderate to severe sensorineural hearing loss.
