The 2014 Inc. 500|5000 list identifies successful, privately-held companies with the largest revenue growth between 2010 and 2013. MedicOne Medical Response, one of only two ambulance companies to make the list, achieved an impressive 206% revenue growth between 2010 and 2013, placing it at #1975 overall and #166 in the healthcare industry. This recognition comes while many other companies struggle. There are well over 7 million privately held companies in the United States. The companies recognized by Inc. Magazine are among the top seven percent of all companies in the country.

"It's an honor to be recognized on the Inc. 500|5000 list with so many of America's innovative companies and entrepreneurs," said Jim Reeves, Chief Executive Officer of MedicOne Medical Response. "We've achieved continued growth during these challenging times because of our patient-focused business model and the dedication of our growing team of employees."

The Inc. 5000's aggregate revenue is $211 billion, generating 505,000 jobs over the past three years. "Our annual ranking of America's fastest-growing private companies proves that even without tailwinds from the overall economy, some companies can achieve impressive acceleration," writes Inc. editor-at-large, Leigh Buchanan.

The Inc. 500|5000 list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America's independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Under Armor, Microsoft, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino's Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500|5000.

Methodology

The 2014 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2010 to 2013. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2010. They had to be U.S. based, privately held, for-profit, and independent--not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies--as of December 31, 2013. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2010 is $100,000; the minimum for 2013 is $2 million.
