Medbox, Inc. Offers Guidance and Consultation To Washington State
Date:12/6/2012

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Dec. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Medbox, Inc. (OTC Markets: MDBX) (www.medboxinc.com), announced today that they will offer their guidance, suggestions and consultation at no charge to officials tasked with developing and implementing a legal marijuana industry in Washington State.

According to Rick Garza, deputy director of the Liquor Control Board, state officials knew from the beginning that they would be creating a system that would be unprecedented in the U.S., so they are now looking for guidance.

Dr. Bruce Bedrick, CEO of Medbox, Inc., issued the company's response: "We will be establishing and sponsoring a separate entity to offer free expertise on how to create systems, procedures, and regulations that provide the utmost in legal compliance, accountability and transparency," Bedrick stated. "The entity will have a focus on educating states as well as end users about cannabis, and assist in regulating the same in an effective marketplace. We want to help Washington State officials implement this industry with precision and care, with the hope that it will be used as a model for other states well into the future."

Medbox is the recognized leader in providing ancillary products and services to the medical marijuana industry in a way that ensures strict compliance with all state and local regulations. It provides complete and unalterable accounting of all transactions. The company has stated that the separate entity will not generate revenue and is going to be setup as a public service sponsored by Medbox.

Alison Holcomb, the drug policy director for the ACLU of Washington State who led efforts to pass the marijuana legalization initiative, said the goal of the measure was to make the marijuana retail outlets very controlled.

"Our experience in helping design and implement comprehensive controls regarding the dispensing of marijuana in other states will be very useful to officials in Washington," Bedrick said.

Sen. Adam Kline, D-Seattle, urged state officials to move quickly on developing the system, and Medbox stands ready to offer the assistance requested to ensure a smooth and thoughtful implementation of the new laws.

Medbox has sought the help of a renowned Seattle based law firm to oversee any and all consulting client matters pertaining to licensing, zoning, and related lobbying in Washington State. As the first order of business, the law firm will be making sure that a request for "Expert" designation is hand-delivered to the office Rick Garza, deputy director of the Liquor Control Board, no later than this Friday.

Medbox played a key role during the Arizona dispensary lottery system and helped its consulting clients obtain 20 of the 97 total licenses granted by the Arizona Department of Health Services, while providing the most secure, transparent, and legally compliant method of operation to the state. The company plans to similarly offer its services in every new state that is in need of tracking and compliance of sensitive drugs like marijuana.
