MedVantx Names New VP Employer Solutions and Workplace Health
Date:7/3/2012

SAN DIEGO, July 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MedVantx, Inc., an innovative consumer medication management and delivery company that created the first ever controlled access to generic samples in US physician offices, today announced the appointment of  Peter J. Kounelis as Vice President of Employer Solutions and Workplace Health Programs.

Mr. Kounelis joins MedVantx with 30 years of healthcare marketing and commercialization experience with pharmaceutical, pharmacy benefit management and healthcare service companies, working with employer, pharmaceutical, and managed care clients.  Mr. Kounelis was formerly the VP of Client Services for Walgreens PBM business and has held a broad array of sales, account management, clinical product development and informatics roles at MedImpact and AdvancePCS.  He is a registered pharmacist, with retail, mail and specialty pharmacy experience as well.

"More and more employers are creating worksite access to medical care for their employees," stated Robert Feeney, Chief Executive Officer of MedVantx.  "While access to worksite medical care helps improve employee health and productivity, there is a significant void in the market place for a cost effective pharmacy access model.  MedVantx has completed a number of very successful MedStart-Worksite™ pilot programs in the employer market place. The use of our point of care technology program will greatly increase the number of worksite locations that can support pharmaceutical therapy initiation versus  the traditional clinic based pharmacy model.   Peter will be responsible for expanding our market penetration with employers as they attempt to control costs and improve employee health and productivity.  We are excited to have Peter join our team."
