Date:5/23/2013

SAN DIEGO, May 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MedVantx, Inc., the company that has pioneered a unique direct to consumer pharmaceutical distribution channel announced today the Company has completed a major expansion of its home delivery platform to manage $1.5B in pharmaceutical products and the upgrade of its systems to offer a level of quality akin to cGMP facilities in its specialty home delivery pharmacy in Sioux Falls, SD. The Company provides leading pharmaceutical manufacturers, physicians, health systems and payors novel distribution services, as well as home delivery services to consumers nationwide via its state of the art pharmaceutical distribution facility, MedVantx Pharmacy Services.

"MedVantx is extremely excited to have achieved these significant company milestones," stated Ron Bertsch , R.Ph., General Manager of MedVantx Pharmacy Services.  "We have grown to become one of the largest independent home delivery pharmacies in the U.S. and cGMPs define a level of quality typically only required of pharmaceutical manufacturers.  Although we are not a drug manufacturer, we wanted to challenge ourselves to meet the highest quality standards of the industry in our pharmacy.  Based on the positive response from our large pharmaceutical customers, we have met that challenge."

Adherence to the more than 200 cGMP provisions assures strong quality management systems, establishment of robust operating procedures, and the detection and investigation of product quality deviations.  This formal system of controls, when adequately put into practice, helps to prevent deviations, failures and errors.  These quality systems allow companies like MedVantx to use modern technologies and innovative approaches to achieve higher quality through continual improvement.

"This announcement comes upon the completion of a significant facility expansion that included major enhancements to contingency planning, data and facility security, secure warehouse space and a new high volume single order unit of use prescription fulfillment capability.  MedVantx has also incorporated a Warehouse Management System to provide total segregation and accountability in the management of inventory," added Mr. Bertsch.

"MedVantx is one of only 32 VIPPs accredited pharmacies in the U.S. and our use of cGMP standards enables us to offer an even higher level of quality to our customers," stated Robert Feeney , Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MedVantx.  "The Prescription Assistance, Specialty Pharmacy and Cold Chain business is growing rapidly with industry revenues which are expected to exceed $160 billion globally in 2013.  This rapid growth is coming at a time of significant supply chain consolidation and customers are seeking new channels.  MedVantx has carved-out a very specialized niche in the marketplace based on full financial transparency, mass customization techniques, and the ability to provide high-quality, novel solutions, for industry partners as well as consumers," added Mr. Feeney.
