MedInformatix RIS Enhances Lenox Hill Radiology's Practice Management Efficiencies for Better Workflow and Improved Customer Service

NEW YORK, June 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lenox Hill Radiology is first in its field with respect to leveraging cutting-edge technology to provide a full scope of diagnostic radiology services and care to patients, as well as to New York-area physicians, healthcare practitioners, hospitals, universities and researchers.

Lenox Hill was the first imaging center in New York City to attain American College of Radiology PET accreditation. It also was the first to provide physicians with online access to images and reports, the first in the city to offering direct digital X-rays, and the first to install a multi-detector CT scanner.

But it wasn't until 2002, when the 20-physician, five-location practice headquartered in the heart of Manhattan implemented MedInformatix' Radiology Information System (RIS), that Lenox Hill was able to reap comparable technology-related business benefits that had eluded the practice since its opening in 1988.

Lenox Hill utilizes the single-platform MedInformatix RIS solution to manage and perform a full slate of business functions including billing, scheduling, imaging, physician workflow and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) management. These functions have enabled the practice to easily manage large amounts of data generated from the large number of daily patient procedures it performs for the management and analysis of records, as well as workflow analysis that helps to measure both patient services and staff performance.
