McGraw-Hill Professional and Simbionix™ Partner to Provide Enhanced Surgical Simulation and Education

NEW YORK and CLEVELAND, March 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill Professional, a leading global provider of information resources for the scientific and medical communities, and Simbionix™, the world's leading provider of medical education and simulation technology, have partnered to bring surgical education content from McGraw-Hill Professional's online surgical training resource AccessSurgery™ (www.accesssurgery.com) to users of Simbionix's MentorLearn system.  This new collaboration will integrate visual and clinical training content from AccessSurgery into Simbionix MentorLearn to enhance simulation-based training and support surgical innovation and practice.

AccessSurgery is a media-rich resource for surgical education that combines leading McGraw-Hill references with surgical videos, animations, interactive board review, and more. This resource offers medical students, surgical residents, and practicing surgeons fundamental training and clinical reference for general and subspecialty surgical procedures and operations. The Simbionix MentorLearn system is the optimal solution for managing all training and education needs for the Simbionix line of simulators, linking data from all simulators and allowing administration tasks with more ease and in a time-efficient manner.
