MIAMI, July 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

  • Ferrer introduces new Quadruple-Strength category of Omega-3 supplements to U.S. market

European pharmaceutical company Ferrer today announced the U.S. launch of Omegafort[scc] Quadruple Strength Fish Oil, Omega-3 nutritional supplements which, thanks to Super Critical Concentration technology, provide a high concentration of Omega-3.

Omegafort[scc] arrives with a formula that is unique, due to the quality of its raw materials and the use of Super Critical Concentration (SCC). Thanks to this technology, each Omegafort[scc] Quadruple Strength Fish Oil capsuleor daily serving contains 1200mg of Omega-3, the highest concentration available without a medical prescription in the U.S.

Omegafort[scc] Quadruple Strength Fish Oil is produced and distributed in the U.S., under license of Ferrer, by Nutriforce Nutrition. Omegafort[scc] Quadruple Strength Fish Oil is sold in the United States at Walgreens as well as on http://www.nutrasource.com. Nutriforce Nutrition is also in negotiations with other major U.S. retailers.

Next-Generation Technology

Omegafort[scc] comes from a raw material of the highest quality: the anchovy fished off the Pacific Ocean. The anchovy is a species of blue fish whose small size and short lifespan mean that it accumulates barely any of the environmental contaminants sometimes associated with fish oils coming from larger fish such as tuna. The SCC technology provided by the specialist in innovative technological processes, Solutex, is used to concentrate the anchovy oil, which has a natural Omega-3 content of 30% of the total weight of the oil up to a level of 85% EPA and DHA, surpassing other product
