Marken beruft neue Direktoren an den Vorstand

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, North Carolina, 5. März 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Marken meldete heute die Berufung zwei unabhängiger Direktoren an seinen Vorstand im Rahmen seiner jüngsten Umstrukturierung, die am 21. Dezember 2012 abgeschlossen wurde. Die Ernennung von Timothy C. Tyson und Michael O'Donnell ist der nächste Schritt in der Umsetzung von Markens Strategie, seine Dienste auf die globale Biowissenschaftsbranche zu konzentrieren.

Tim Tyson ist eine erfahrene Führungskraft in der globalen Pharmabranche. Er fungiert derzeit als Vorstandsvorsitzender von Aptuit LLC, einem globalen Pharmadienstleister mit Sitz in den USA. Von 2003 bis 2008 war er CEO und Präsident von Valeant Pharmaceuticals Inc. Davor hatte Tyson verschiedene Führungspositionen inne, unter anderem als President, Global Manufacturing & Supply von GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Während seiner 14-jährigen Tätigkeit bei GSK leitete er die Divisionen Glaxo Dermatology und Cerenex, die US-Marketingabteilung sowie die US-Vertriebsdivisionen. Dort war er für die Markteinführung von 32 Produkten verantwortlich, von denen acht ein globales Umsatzvolumen von über 1 Mrd. US-Dollar erwirtschafteten.  Tyson absolvierte ein Ingenieursstudium an der US Military Academy in West Point und besitzt einen Mastersabschluss in öffentlicher Verwaltung von der Jackson State University. Er belegte Schlüsselpositionen am PhRMA Board und innerhalb der International Society of Professional Engineers (ISPE).

Michael O'Donnell ist derzeit als Vorsitzender des auf Infektionskontrollprodukte spezialisierten Unternehmens Verna tätig, sowie als nicht-geschäftsführender Direktor der Bauträgergesellsch
