MPO Symposium Keynote to Address Organizational Strategies for Medical Device Manufacturers

RAMSEY, N.J., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Fourth Annual Medical Product Outsourcing (MPO) Symposium kicks off Nov. 3 with a keynote address from medical device strategist and entrepreneur Julia S. Rasor, founder of the Rasor Consulting Group. Rasor will cover issues critical to device manufacturing efficiency by providing real-world examples of rudimentary mistakes companies are making.

"Many organizations flounder as different functional groups do their best to deliver in a program lacking a system-wide approach to achieving the overall goals required by the business," said Rasor. "Goal-focused cross-functional facilitation in support of a well-defined business deliverable breaks down organizational silos and achieves milestones. This session will focus on helping companies structure themselves differently to achieve better outcomes."

Additionally, MPO Symposium speakers and panelists will address topics such as criteria for effectively selecting outsourcing vendors, key elements to negotiating outsourcing agreements and evaluating the effectiveness of open-book pricing.  

Historically, MPO Symposium has been a strong forum for networking, learning and industry enrichment.  Bob Roche, president and chief operating officer of Tegra Medical commented on the 2009 event, saying: "I commend the staff at Rodman Publishing for their fine MPO Symposiums, which allow medical device industry executives to come together, network and discuss the most pressing business and regulatory issues of importance to the device community."
