Local Dentist Takes Bite Out of Healthcare Costs - Veranda Dentistry
Date:12/8/2018

Nationally, it is estimated that 114 million people have no dental insurance, and there are millions more that have dental insurance benefits that are seriously lacking and make it challenging to get needed care. Local Pleasant Hill, Iowa dentist, Dr. Chad Johnson of Veranda Dentistry believes that dental care should be accessible and affordable to everyone, with or without dental insurance. The solution is the Veranda Inclusive Program [VIP].

When we asked Dr. Johnson why he developed such a program, his response: “How could I not? Relative to the cost, dental insurance today covers less than it did in the mid 1970’s when it was first introduced. Many people (falsely) believe that they cannot go to a dentist unless they have coverage or are in network. These things simply are not true. I feel that as a dentist, one of my obligations is to help our patients find ways to afford the care they need.”

Being part of the Veranda Dentistry dental family in Pleasant Hill, Iowa means you’re a VIP, and this is what local dentist Dr. Chad Johnson and his team have created with their VIP Program. The VIP program is not insurance, but a dental savings plan. All non-insured patients are eligible and automatically enrolled, and enjoy the benefits starting on their first visit.

VIP members enjoy generous preventive care including yearly exams, two preventive cleanings, diagnostic x-rays*; as well as 20% courtesy on restorative treatment paid in full at time of visit. For larger treatment plans, we have an array of financial options to meet the needs of nearly every budget.

For more information on Veranda Dentistry’s VIP program, please contact their office at (515) 318-7258.
