Lilly Declares Fourth-Quarter Dividend

INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The board of directors of Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY) today declared a dividend for the fourth quarter of 2009 of $0.49 a share on outstanding common stock. This is the same dividend as was paid in the first three quarters of 2009 and brings the total annual dividend for 2009 to $1.96 per share.

The dividend is payable December 10, 2009, to shareholders of record at the close of business on November 13, 2009.
