Life Technologies trägt zur Identifizierung von 20.000 menschlichen Überresten aus Massengräbern in Libyen bei

Life Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: LIFE) gab heute bekannt, dass eine vollständige Laborlösung angeboten werde, um die schätzungsweise 20.000 menschlichen Überreste zu identifizieren, die nach dem Aufstand von 2011 in verschiedenen Massengräbern in Libyen gefunden wurden. Außerdem sollen damit Fälle vermisster Personen aus dem Zeitraum des 42-jährigen Regimes Muammar Gaddafis aufgeklärt werden. Die Identifizierung wird voraussichtlich mehrere Jahre dauern.

Life Technologies, ein führender Anbieter von forensischen DNA-Technologien, wird die Infrastruktur, das Fachwissen, Schulungen und die forensischen Instrumente und Materialien zur Verfügung stellen, um den Workflow zu überprüfen und die Verarbeitung der DNA-Proben mittels seiner Integrated Gulf Biosystems (IGB) zu ermöglichen.
