Life Technologies ayuda a identificar 20.000 restos humanos encontrados en fosas comunes en Libia

inada a las muestras de referencia y la segunda centrándose en las muestras de procesamiento para los restos humanos. Cada año se procesarán unas 50.000 muestras. Las muestras de restos humanos se procesarán por medio del uso de la química PrepFiler® BTA optimizada para aislar el ADN de los huesos y dientes, en combinación con el kit de amplificación AmpFlSTR® NGM SElect™ PCR y el kit MiniFiler™, diseñados para muestras muy degradadas. Las muestras de referencia se procesarán usando la tecnología de amplificación directa que combina Copan NUCLEIC-CARD™ con NGM SElect™ Express.

El laboratorio usará la última generación de analizadores genéticos y equipamiento auxiliar, y lo validará de forma funcional según los estándares de aseguramiento de calidad y directrices necesarias de ASCLAD-LAB, SWGDAM e ISO 17025. Parte de la formación de los científicos de Libia se realizará en Estados Unidos bajo la dirección y supervisión del doctor Arthur Eisenberg, un científico forense con prestigio mundial, que ha llevado la apertura del laboratorio en Trípoli.
